What Is a Dumbbell Side Bend? Why It Belongs in Golf Training
Side bends train the obliques, which help golfers stabilize and rotate through the swing.
By AimBox Team

A dumbbell side bend is a simple core exercise. You hold a dumbbell in one hand, bend sideways at the waist, then return to tall posture with control.
What it trains
The movement targets the obliques, the side core muscles that help stabilize the trunk. Golfers use those muscles during rotation, side bend, and impact.
How to do it well
Use a light weight at first. Keep the movement controlled. Avoid twisting or rushing. The goal is not to see how far you can bend; it is to control the motion.
Golf carryover
Better side-core strength can help you stay organized through the swing and resist unwanted movement when pressure shifts.
