Refine Your Swing with the Alignment + Gate + Swing Plane Drill
A compact AimBox setup for training alignment, start line, and swing plane in one station.

Good practice removes guesswork. The Alignment + Gate + Swing Plane drill is designed to give you three references at once: where you are aimed, where the club should travel, and how the club should move through the hitting area.
Start with alignment
Use one rod as your target reference. Before you swing, check that your feet, clubface, and intended start line agree with the shot you want to hit.
Add the gate
The gate gives your club a simple checkpoint through impact. If the club is drifting across the ball or moving too far from the intended path, the reference makes it easier to notice.
Train the plane
The final piece is awareness of the swing plane. AimBox helps you rehearse a path that feels organized without requiring a complicated list of swing thoughts.
This drill works best at slow and medium speeds first. Let the reference teach the motion, then bring the speed back in.
