Fix Your Slice with the Over-The-Top Drill

Use AimBox to make an over-the-top move visible, then train a cleaner path with immediate feedback.

By AimBox Team

If you battle slices, pulls, or weak contact, your path may be moving across the ball from outside to in. The problem is that this move can feel normal until you have a clear reference.

What the drill trains

The over-the-top drill gives your club a visible path to avoid. With AimBox on the ground, the rods create a simple corridor that shows whether your downswing is cutting across the target line.

How to use it

Start slowly. Set the rods so the desired path is obvious, then rehearse the club moving through that space without clipping the reference. Once the shape feels familiar, add half swings before working up to full speed.

Why it helps

The goal is not to force a perfect swing. The goal is to make the wrong pattern obvious earlier. When the visual feedback is immediate, your body has a better chance to adjust before the ball flight tells the whole story.
