Balance and Ankle Stability for Golfers: Train the Base, Control the Swing
Your feet and ankles influence weight shift, ground pressure, and how stable your swing feels.
By AimBox Team

Balance in golf is not just standing still. It is controlling motion while pressure moves through your feet, ankles, hips, and torso.
Why the ankles matter
Ankles help you manage weight shift and ground reaction force. If they are unstable, the rest of the swing may compensate with extra sway, early extension, or poor contact.
How to train it
Single-leg balance, controlled calf raises, split-stance exercises, and slow tempo swings can all help. The goal is to feel pressure move without losing control of your base.
Bring it back to practice
Once your base feels steadier, use AimBox to check your setup lines. Stable feet plus visible alignment is a strong combination for repeatable practice.
